**About Us**

LiquidX Studio is a gaming development studio with the goal to produce an open-world AAA game called Pixelmon.

We are based in Singapore and Malaysia with many of our team collaborating remotely from countries like New Zealand, Spain, Indonesia, and Brazil. With large backing from our recently raised funding round, we aim to create an entirely unique experience with immersive gameplay and extensive lore that will wow all gamers.

**The Challenge**

Your creativity, expertise, and enthusiasm plays a key role in delivering our users with an immersive player-focused gaming experience. You will collaborate with team across the globe to design and iterate the combat systems, mechanics, and balancing that make up a resonant player experience

**What You Can Expect To Work On**
- Contributes to the game’s vision and creation of core action to deliver great gameplay experience
- Work on the balance of the 200+ fighters in a turn-based, tactical combat game on mobile/PC.
- Be an active member of the development team using inclusive collaborative frameworks with diverse teams to decide on goals and establish the stories players want to tell within a given release
- Contributes to the gameplay experience goals for designs, and tune features to meet those goals.
- Continuously improve and create prototype player character abilities to prove out combat, traversal, and test new technology based on playtests, game metrics, team input and community feedback.
- Be resourceful and solve problems using the tools and time/scope available to create unique and fun experiences for players.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams such as art, narrative, animation to ideate and delivery new player character designs
- Playtest and help evaluate encounters to help drive how AI and players interact.
- Have an eye for improving process and efficiency to make life easier for the Design team.
- Collaborate with the Development team to create clear and concise design documents for feature implementation
- Communicate the technical requirements and vision for design workflows and pipelines.

**Requirements**:
**What You Need to Succeed**
- **Experience**: 4+ years of experience in combat game design experience, and enthusiastic about core game loops and design fundamentals.
- **Thoughtful Problem Solving**: Build a structured approach for complex game systems that maintain game quality while minimizing complexity.
- **Published Game**: Has contributed, as game designer, to at least 2 published games, and or 1 published mobile games.
- **Technical Abilities**: Exposed with Jira, Confluence, or equivalent task tracking and collaborative environments
- **Flexibility & Amazing team spirit**: Remain flexible in the changing priorities, work well in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, while maintaining a team spirit amongst one another
