**Job Description**:
A Technician in Ophthalmology is required to oversee and ensure the smooth running of the imaging, perimetry and scan rooms in the eye clinic/department of the hospital.

The Technician is also required to assist the medical, nursing and clerical staff in the eye clinic /department in providing the administrative and patient care support, aimed at providing an overall efficient and effective clinical service to the patients.

**Primary Responsibilities and Duties (80%)**:
I. To conduct the following clinical tests / procedures for patients independently:

- Humphrey field test
- Auto keratomy reading
- Ultrasound A scan
- Indocyanine green filter retina angiography (ICG)
- Visual field test
- Fundus fluorescein angiography
- Corneal topography

II. To develop the following photo images for clinical examination purpose:

- Slit lamp photo
- Fundus photo
- Photo recopy
- Slide recopy
- Clinical video tape editing

**Secondary Responsibilities and Duties (20%)**:
III. To be responsible for the inventory, storing, archiving and retrieval of photoslides and imaging done.

IV. To be responsible for coordinating slide presentations, audio and visual control during teaching seminars, conference, etc as required by the department/clinic.

V. To see to the tidiness and cleanliness of their work areas.

VI. To see to the needs and waiting tine of patients.

VII. To practice economy in the use of human and material resources in their job scope.
