In this role, you will help shape the innovative Cloud software we are creating for the property development industry. Beyond shipping features to customers, the mission is to deliver tangible experiences that capture the paradigm shifts that will transform the entire industry and directly impact the lives of end-users who will use our tools to transform the skyline of cities.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Work with respective Product squads to strategically roadmap Products with the Design System. Groom Backlogs to allocate design capacity to balance strategic UX deliverables vs. tactical production-ready assets.
- Clear roadblocks for your team and nurture relationships with stakeholders across product lines, spanning business, product, engineering, and geographical boundaries.
- DesignOps - Maintain and extend the standards, practices, and processes that organise the team's capabilities and resources around horizontals and verticals that underpin a design organisation that can effectively scale impact. Strengthen the Design Studio practice, so Designers can focus on new challenges and take on meaningful, high-value work, not be inundated with busy work and re-solving known issues.
- Own the platform's Design System (Figma), and see it as a "product of products." You architect experiences, not just ship components and features. Take a Product, not a Project mindset. Understand the long-term consequences and impact of how your team works with stakeholder groups and how teams get work done. Develop an architecture to extend the Design System to respond to ongoing discovery efforts and customer feedback.
- Serve as Product Manager to roadmap the platform's service-level experiences shared across products. You lend weight to enforcing the governance operating models. You will oversee ongoing efforts in refactoring Figma Libraries per the latest industry best practices. You will also work with Engineering Leaders to ensure a continuous development process to ship pixel-perfect components into UI Engine for use by Product Dev teams.
**About You**:
We are looking for a design leader, a master of crafts who is vision-led and mission oriented. You've 5-10 years of experience designing digital products, with demonstrated people management skills, organisational management and experience within the corporate environment:
- A strong portfolio of representative past product design work available for viewing. Preferably showcasing desktop or mobile web or apps built, deployed, and used by actual end-users.
- Experience within digital transformation and product innovation (complex enterprise Apps beyond websites).
- Experience in advanced research methods and are familiar with JTBD/Outcome-Driven innovation, able to grasp new concepts and absorb domain knowledge quickly.
- Know when to optimize for speed and when to seek quality and hone into details.
- Highly versed in collaborating with software developers using design technologies and prototyping tools such as Figma.
- A four-year degree in product design, interaction design, HCI is preferred.
