**About the Role**:
Our Client is seeking a highly skilled **Backend Software Engineer**to help power the core infrastructure of a high-performance trading platform. You’ll play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and optimizing real-time systems that form the backbone of the order management engine. This position is ideal for engineers who thrive in performance-critical environments and want to work at the intersection of finance and cutting-edge technology.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop and maintain the core **order management system**, ensuring robust handling of the full order lifecycle.
- Monitor and optimize system uptime and responsiveness — target **99.9%+ availability**.
- Design and implement backend services, including **real-time data pipelines**, **websocket-based communication**, **asynchronous job queues**, and **pub-sub architectures**.
- Collaborate closely with the product and trading teams to introduce new features and support expansion into new asset classes.
- Participate in the development of **core trading strategies**, particularly those interacting with retail order flow.
- Optimize system scalability and **database performance**to handle increasing data volume and low-latency needs.
- Use observability tools and analytics to monitor system health and implement data-driven performance improvements.
- Communicate clearly and regularly with stakeholders, including Chinese-speaking team members and business partners.

**Key Qualifications**:

- **3+ years of experience**as a backend software engineer or full-stack engineer with strong backend expertise.
- Degree in **Computer Science**, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience working in a **trading firm**or similar environment with exposure to exchange integrations or trading infrastructure.
- Demonstrated experience building **high-throughput**, **real-time systems**with stringent uptime requirements.
- Familiarity with **async processing**, **batch jobs**, **queueing systems**, **pub-sub messaging**, and **websockets**.
- Proficient in **AWS cloud infrastructure**, including **Terraform**, **Docker**, and **CI/CD pipeline configuration**.
- Product-oriented mindset — able to approach problems from a **solutions-first**and **business-first**perspective.
- Prior exposure to **financial markets**, **quant research**, **brokerage platforms**, or **crypto exchanges**is a strong plus.
- Must be comfortable working closely with **Chinese-speaking stakeholders**; Mandarin proficiency is preferred.
