**What the role is**
- The jobholder would report to Director, Forensics CoE and assist in developing research strategy, capability development roadmaps, and provide scientific & technical leadership in the Forensic biology discipline.

**What we are looking for**
- Education - BSc (Hons)/MSc/PhD in Biological/Biomedical Sciences or Life Sciences and/or related disciplines Experience - At least 10 years of relevant academic, industry, forensic and/or research experience - Supervisory/leadership experience in leading teams and managing projects - Demonstrable experience of weighing complex competing demands and trade-offs and making balanced judgements - Knowledge of research methodology, and practical experience in execution of scientific research projects in academia and/or industry - Knowledge and/or experience in massively parallel sequencing technology, genomics, proteomics, bioinformatics and/or computational biology is preferred - Broad-based and/or in-depth, contemporary technical knowledge of forensic sciences and practices would be an advantage - Possess written and oral communications skills and ability to communicate scientific information clearly to non-experts Other requirements - Passionate in the pursuit of scientific innovations that are aligned with the Home Teams’ mission - Able to work collaboratively to achieve outcomes - Committed, motivated, self-starter, forward-looking and fosters a climate of experimentation within the team - Meticulous, enthusiastic, inquisitive and patient - Forward thinking and open-minded to try new approaches and ideas - Able to prioritize goals and responsibilities to accomplishing the objectives - Able to work under extreme pressure with tight deadlines - Approach problem solving using a logical, systematic, and unbiased methodology - Able to assess complexity of situations and choose appropriate courses of action - Good communicator (oral and written) with strong interpersonal skills - Singaporeans only
