**Role Overview**
A Market Development Intern is responsible for creating and implementing strategies that help the company to expand channels and revenue, offline as well as online. You will work closely with the team to identify gaps and new opportunities to drive growth. You will be a part of the Strategic Business Development team who is in charge of identifying channels and developing strategies to improve the overall revenue of the company. Reporting to the Market Development Manager, the key responsibilities of a Market Development Intern may include and are not limited to:
- Conducting market research to identify new channels and areas to improve omnichannel experience across our Singapore and Malaysia market
- Analysing data and metrics to form insights and presenting to the team
- Tracking channel progress to ensure suitability and profitability of channel
- Identify conversion bottlenecks across our Singapore and Malaysia market
**The qualifications required for a Market Development Intern may include**:
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Ability to work with ambiguity
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office / Google Drive Tools (Sheet/Doc/Slides)
- Proactive, resourceful, and an excellent team player
- Ability to take direction and absorb information quickly
- Have a passion for e-commerce & retail businesses
