Project Title: AI-Scaffolded Seamless Chinese Character and Vocabulary Learning for Young Learners: The Design and Implementation of ARCHe 2.0
Project Introduction: This is a 3-year project aims to design and develop an AI-scaffolded seamless Chinese character and vocabulary learning system to promote learning motivation and performance for Singapore local lower primary school students.
The research assistant will have the opportunity to (1) engage in school-based design research; (2) instantiate innovative design ideas.
**Requirements**:
- Possessing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Multimedia Design, Computer Science or a related field;
- Demonstrating good verbal and written communication skills;
- Showing enthusiasm for doing research, and preferably, has experience conducting design research;
- Those with experience in AR or chatbot development will be given priority;
- Familiarity with the Singapore education system is preferred;
- Being able to work both independently and in a team
**Responsibilities**:
- Participate in learning activity design and development;
- Liaise with vendors, teachers, and school leaders;
- Collect research data in schools using video and audio equipment, and field notes taking;
- Manage project data and document up-to-date project records;
- Assist in the coding and analysis of quantitative and qualitative data;
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the Principal Investigator
