**Position Summary**
The position holder will be responsible for managing the full spectrum of accounts payable duties for Samsonite Brands Private Limited (consisting of a few SAP company codes). You will report to the Finance Manager, Asia. You will also manage 1 direct report.
**Responsibilities: -**
1. Responsible for full spectrum of A/P duties:
- Review accounts payable, execute payment control and supervise the entire payment process to comply with internal control system
- Accurate and timely recording of vendor invoices (trade and non-trade)
- Review staffs’ expense reimbursements
- Post invoice receipt invoices parked by accounts assistant
- Review weekly payments prepared by accounts assistant and ensure invoices are paid timely
- Communicate with vendors/ logistics planners regarding payments and discrepancies
- Maintenance of global master data, verify and ensure completeness of supporting are received and stored
- Prepare weekly cashflow forecast to ensure adequate cashflow
- Monitor bank accounts on a daily basis to ensure availability of funds before processing payments to vendors and inter-companies
- Ensure compliance with accounting and legislative requirements
2. Assist in month-end closing and prepare bank reconciliation
3. Participate in the year end audit process and prepare documents requested by auditors
4. Provide leadership in the accounts payable function and improvement process
5. Perform other ad-hoc assignments and projects as required
**Requirements: -**
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or professional qualification such as ACCA
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in an MNC environment with supervisory experience
- SAP knowledge is a **MUST**:
- Experience with Concur and DocuWare is an added advantage and intermediate proficiency of excel functions is required
- Able to handle voluminous transactions, multi-tasking and work under pressure with tight deadline
- Strong team player, resilient, strong sense of accountability and highly adaptable to changes
- Fluent in both written and spoken English
**Job Type**: Permanent
**Salary**: Up to $4,600.00 per month
