**About You**:
In order to accomplish this goal, you need to be able to handle the following day-to-day duties outlined below:
**Cable Technician**
**What You Will Do**:
1. Install, maintain, and repair cable infrastructure.
2. Test newly installed or relocated cables according to specifications and established procedures.
3. Conduct thorough inspections of cable lines to ensure proper functioning.
4. Identify and remove redundant cabling.
5. Troubleshoot issues with the cable network.
6. Ensuring compliance with safety regulations for cable management.
7. Run tests and interpret results to make effective recommendations.
8. Return equipment and supplies to designated locations.
9. Install cable support structures such as j-hooks, cable racks etc.
10. Repair cable poles and towers.
11. Assist team with installation and maintenance tasks.
12. Complete required paperwork accurately and timely.
13. Manage pole climbing and working at heights and small confined spaces.
14. Work outdoors and in inclement weather conditions.
16. Coordinate with contractors to ensure smooth project completion.
17. Understand GPS and solution operations, find data sheets and prepare BOMS.
18. Conduct site surveys and ensure materials readiness.

21. Supervise installation, testing and commission of GPS antenna and NTP server.
22. Troubleshoot cable issues efficiently.
23. Prepare reports summarising project activities, findings, and recommendations upon project completion.

**What Requirements You Need**:
1. NITEC/Higher NITEC or Diploma in Electrical/Electronic or Mechanical Engineering. Prior work experience for one to two years as a Cable Technician is preferred.
2. Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and fix any problems that may arise.
3. Ability to explain problems simply and clearly.
4. Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions exactingly.
5. Ability to follow health and safety regulations.
6. Meticulous attention to detail.
7. Ability to work alone and in a team.
8. Ability to work in cramped spaces.
9. Comfortability working at heights and off ladders.
10. Proficiency in MS Office.
