How you will spend your time as our next Cloud Architect

**Responsibilities**:

- Responsibility for Qlik in Azure, AWS or GCP environments
- Champion and implement the automation of use cases across Qlik, with the aim of automating 80% of all cloud deployments
- Help define the best practices as a thought leader for cloud, automation Dev-Ops, be a solution visionary and technology expert
- Make recommendations for improvements to current processes and procedures to support a high performing and scalable environment
- Collaborating with other platforms tech leads to ensure integrated and Secure end-to-end design
- Create, maintain and document tools and automation for handling system state and operations across a complex global infrastructure
- Participate and drive technical reviews of requirements, designs, code, Security and other artifacts
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and use cases to architect a secure, technical solution

Competencies & Skills
- Outstanding technical skills and understanding of server-side and cloud technologies
- Strong client consultative skills; emphasis on customer focus
- Excellent presentation and communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences
- Creating requirements and architecture/technical designs. Consult with stakeholders to align and arrive at an optimal technical solution, leveraging best practices in architecture and design
- Familiar with a variety of commercial and open-source technologies
- Excellent analytic skills with the ability to optimize processes and methodologies
- A focused and organized team player with strong interpersonal skills
- Honest and accountable

- Strong desire to collaborate with teams across the business
- Self-starter. Able to identify issues and areas for improvement and resolve them

Experience
- 10+ years Linux and Windows systems administration and automation scripting experience
- 6+ years Amazon AWS or Microsoft Azure administration experience
- Experience analyzing and resolving performance, scalability and reliability issues
- Experience configuring, securing and lifecycle management of serverless cloud technologies
- Scripting experience in one or more of the following: Python, Ruby, Go, PowerShell
- Proficient in infrastructure as code with at least one of the following: Terraform, ARM Templates or Cloud Formation.
- Proficient in Performance tuning, Automation and Configuration management
- Experience in secure cloud architecture concepts, fundamentals and tooling
- Experience with TCP/IP network equipment including routers, switches, firewalls, SDWAN and troubleshooting various fundamental network services such as DNS, DHCP, SMTP, HTTP, SSH
- Experience in Virtualization technologies like VMWare
- AWS, Azure, or GCP Certification a plus

Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience
