**Trader**

The trader role provides an opportunity to work closely with an experienced Portfolio Manager and interact directly with market makers, salespeople, strategists, and economists.

**Duties And Responsibilities**
- Executing trades and risk managing books for the desk
- Pricing and administering unwinds and novation protocol
- Liaising with support functions
- Booking deals and monitoring positions
- Support in market analysis
- Doing quantitative work to build tools to improve trading on the desk
- Perform detailed User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for new trading systems and integration to Portfolio Management systems.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum degree with a major in Quantitative Finance, Economics, Financial Engineering, Risk Management or a related discipline.
- 1-3 years of working experience in a bank / fund trading desk
- Knowledge of EM markets especially LATAM
- Passion for and familiarity with financial markets
- Proficiency in using macroeconomic toolkits like Haver, CEIC, Macrobond, Bloomberg
- Familiarity with statistical and econometric concepts
- Basic understanding of options and derivatives
- Programming/coding skills in VBA, C/C#, SQL, MATLAB/R, Python, Javascript will be an asset
- Excellent eye for detail and be very thorough in your checks and processes. You will need to prioritize given tasks and multi-task effectively when necessary.
