Formative Search is working closely with a global energy player to support them in securing a Business Analyst to join their team in Singapore. You will collaborate closely with the business development team to assess and advance projects for the company.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth of their business and a chance to be in a client-facing role.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assess the energy market considering the interrelated nature of supply and demand per energy carrier.
- Analyze factors related to politics, economic developments, and sectoral changes impacting energy carriers.
- Ensure an integrated approach across multiple energy segments for consistent assessments.
- Analyze overall demand and sectoral demand, including power and transport sectors, and the impact of new technologies.
- Evaluate overall supply by energy sources such as Oil, Gas, Renewable, and Coal.
- Breakdown of supply and demand per country and country areas.
- Assess supply and demand balances and trade flows.
- Conduct scenario analysis and explore interrelations between energy sources and carriers.
- Support existing terminals for projects and market analysis.
- Assist in greenfield projects and M&A projects.
- Contribute to the formulation of business strategy.
- Travelling is involved.

**Requirements**:

- Master's degree
- 3-5 years of experience in the oil & gas, chemicals, and energy industry.
- Interest in developing capabilities in financial and data modelling.
- Analytical, self-starter, independent, strategic thinker, and innovator.
- Strong communication and business writing skills.
