The school now has an exciting opportunity for an Academic and College Counselor to join our fantastic High School team.

**About the Role**:
**Position Requirements**:

- **Minimum 3 years of experience in an International environment required
- Minimum 5 years of experience in college admissions or high school college counselling
- An understanding of admissions for educational systems around the world is a major plus
- An understanding of International Baccalaureate (IBMYP/IBDP) and Advanced Placement (AP) programs preferred
- Highly developed interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Excellent verbal and written English skills
- Strong organizational ability in order to meet deadlines
- Proficiency in using school systems and databases, communications platforms, and educational technology
- Able to respond effectively to the needs of a diverse and demanding student and parent population
- Knowledge of colleges, their academic programs, admission policies, and financial policies and procedures
- Able to advise students to various countries around the world including US, UK, Canada, Europe, and Asia
- Demonstrates the Stamford Values - Courage, Ingenuity, Compassion, Integrity
- Advisory/pastoral experience preferred

Qualifications:

- Minimum Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required
- Master’s degree in the relevant field preferred
