**Overview**
Global High Net Worth (GHNW) is a team responsible for the sourcing and onboarding of GHNW customers to the Enterprise through a global distribution and operations team.
Underpinning the required changes is to reinforce how talent and culture are our winning factors. Building a high-performing team across all markets will be crucial for GHNW to deliver on our bold ambitions successfully.
The Head of Global High Net Worth Business Strategy Development will work with Manulife’s operating entities in Asia and the US (John Hancock) to collaborate and develop strategies, innovative products and solutions to grow Manulife’s business across geographies and segments. The position will be responsible to leading the business development agenda and look for leverageable opportunities within other distribution channels and geographic markets working with leaders in other Manulife operating entities.
**Accountabilities and Responsibilities**
- Lead as thought partner to the Head of GHNW: create a multi-year strategic plan and spearhead the execution of strategy, innovative products and solutions across the organization
- Engage and collaborate across the Manulife organization in the execution of strategic initiatives to support the continued growth, efficiency and success of Manulife Bermuda, Hong Kong, Singapore and other business units as required
- Create and lead thoughtful initiatives across a broad spectrum of situations to drive change throughout the organization and communicating effectively to align people and teams.
- Explore business development opportunities with Manulife’s Wealth & Asset Management to drive additional sales growth through relationships with select Global Financial Institutions.
- Lead the business development initiatives identified in the multi-year strategic plan and execute on the KPIs.
- Take lead to assess, review and propose geographic expansion plans into new markets where Manulife currently does not have an in-country operation.
- Be a change leader and driver of cultural change so that the organization is well positioned to support the dynamic needs of the GHNW customer
- Plan and develop processes critical to the evolution of the GHNW business within Manulife
- Oversee and manage a wide variety of highly prioritized projects, as well as complete ad-hoc projects, requests, and analyses
- Mobilize resources and functions across the various business units and other geographies to fulfill business initiatives
- Define and manage strategic transformation plan at enterprise level

- Demonstrated successful strategic thinking, policy development and implementation experience
- Strong leadership skills with ability to motivate and influence associates at all levels and at a distance
- Focus and delivers on bringing about changes in growth, revenue, and profit to the organization with the Head of GHNW; help to ensure action items, deadlines, and deliverables are completed
- Monitor the execution and coordination of all key activities of the GHNW business
- Role model in driving change for the organization through strategic effective internal communication.
- Takes the lead in building synergies by leveraging people, data and infrastructure for all transformation and change initiatives.
**Qualifications/Education**
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Actuarial designation, MBA or other postgraduate degree preferred
- 10+ years of progressive financial and strategic planning experience
- Life insurance experience required
- Detailed knowledge of the international/global high-net worth market would be an asset
- Extensive experience working in and navigating large and complex organizations
- Experience with organizational change management and change strategy
