**Responsibility and authority**

**Key tasks and Responsibilities**
- The Proposals Engineer (PsE) is reporting to Proposals Manager (PsM) shall provide support to the Business Development (BD) group for the preparation of early stage studies, budget or firm proposals.
- PsE shall with the support of the system owners establish technical description and scope of supply matrix according to APL standards.
- PsE shall ensure that all relevant disciplines provide input to technical descriptions, scope of supply matrix and relevant drawings are issued.
- PsE shall ensure that technical information from clients is distributed to disciplines for review, and gather all comments, clarifications, qualifications from the respective disciplines.
- PsE shall ensure that all technical documents are stored in APL archiving system.
- PsE shall ensure check that cost inputs from the Discipline Leads and from the Supply Chain Department correspond to the scope of supply matrix.
- PsE to initiate Early Concept Review.
- PsE to support PsM on cost sheet verification of inputs prior to the tender review.
- PsE assists the BD group with arranging handover meeting from BD to Projects.

**Qualification requirements**

**Education**
- Bachelor’s degree Business / Engineering

**Experience**
- 5 years of relevant experience in engineering or proposals/tendering in the Energy Industry.

**Skills**
- Previous experience of the technical, and/or commercial aspects of the offshore energy industry.
- Structured and analytical skills.
- Ability to transform a problem into a solution.
- Good inter-personal and communications skill.
- Proficient with MS Office software packages.
- Fluent in oral and written in the English language. Additional languages are a plus.
