**Job Overview**:
Swee Lee Clarke Quay is a unique destination that blends a leading musical instrument retail experience with a vibrant cafe, bar, and event space, fostering a strong sense of community and creativity. As a contract Events Runner, you will be integral to the seamless execution of our diverse event calendar, ranging from live music performances and workshops to private gatherings. Reporting directly to the Venue Operations Manager, you will be responsible for a wide array of operational tasks, including event setup and breakdown, guest services, technical assistance, and artist liaison. This contract role offers an invaluable opportunity to contribute to memorable musical experiences and gain practical expertise in venue operations within Southeast Asia's leading musical instrument and lifestyle retailer.

**Responsibilities**:
Event Setup and Breakdown
- Assisting with the physical setup of the event, including arranging tables, chairs, stages, and other equipment.
- Setting up decorations, signage, and promotional materials.
- Assisting with the installation of lighting, sound systems, and other technical equipment.
- Tearing down and packing up equipment, decorations, and other materials after the event.

Registration and Guest Services
- Welcoming guests and checking them in at the registration desk.
- Distributing event materials like programs, badges, or tickets.
- Answering guest questions and providing directions within the venue.
- Assisting with crowd control and managing lines.

Ushering and Seating
- Guiding attendees to their seats or specific areas within the venue.
- Ensuring the smooth flow of guests during the event, particularly in large or complex venues.

Technical Support
- Assisting with the operation of AV equipment, such as microphones, projectors, or screens.
- Troubleshooting any technical issues that arise during the event.

Event Monitoring and Security
- Monitoring the event space to ensure safety and security.
- Reporting any suspicious activity or potential hazards to event organizers or security personnel.
- Assisting with enforcing event rules, such as checking IDs for age-restricted activities.

Artist Liaison
- Serving as the secondary point of contact for artists, performers, or speakers during the event.
- Coordinating artist schedules, ensuring they arrive at the venue on time, and assisting with any logístical needs.
- Ensuring that artists are comfortable and have everything they need, such as dressing rooms, refreshments, and technical requirements.
- Communicating any last-minute changes or updates to the artists and ensuring they are well-informed throughout the event.
- Escorting artists to and from the stage or performance area and ensuring their timely appearance.
- Handling any special requests or needs from the artists, working closely with the event team to fulfill them.

General Assistance
- Running errands for event organizers, such as picking up supplies or delivering messages.
- Assisting with any ad-hoc tasks that arise during the event.
- Providing general support to ensure the event runs smoothly.

Post-Event Tasks
- Assisting with gathering feedback from attendees.
- Helping with the organization of lost and found items.
- Packing and storing event materials for future use.

**Requirements**:

- Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-centric approach.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by the event schedule.
- Physical stamina to assist with event setup and breakdown, including lifting and moving equipment.
- A proactive and enthusiastic attitude with a willingness to learn.
