
Director, Community Stewardship

**Responsibilities**:
The Director, Community Stewardship will play a pivotal role in leading the strategy and plans to achieve Temasek’s community objectives of connecting people, uplifting communities, protecting the planet and advancing capabilities.
He/she will join the leadership team of the department responsible for driving societal impact, catalysing philanthropy and championing best practices in the social sector.
This position, based in Temasek’s Singapore head office, reports to the Head of Community Stewardship. The incumbent will work closely with internal stakeholders within Temasek, including our international offices, as well as ecosystem players such as Temasek Trust and Temasek Foundation. He/she will be expected to contribute to or build Temasek's network of external partners who can amplify our impact.
The team’s roles include:
- **Enabling impactful giving,** via** **gifts informed by market needs, innovative models of philanthropy, and thoughtful measurement of impact outcomes to drive decision making and communication.
- **Expanding our network, **forging collaboration with fellow donors, international organisations, Temasek portfolio companies and non-profits that can amplify impact and enable social good.
- **Growing a thriving non-profit ecosystem**, which involves putting in place an effective partnership model with Temasek’s non-profit ecosystem and supporting their growth.
- **Team Management**, driving high performance culture, fostering teamwork and developing talent.
**Requirements**:
- A successful professional, with a degree and having worked more than 15 years in a large corporate environment - and driven by a purpose beyond profit.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with proven track record in path-finding, problem solving and project management.
- Team player who is able to work well in a cross-functional team, with diverse members and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Resourcefulness to thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment, to process changes in direction quickly while maintaining a high quality of output; embraces ambiguity
- Experience in the social sector, or policy work in international organisations will be an advantage.
