**Role Overview**

Android Engineers play a key role in the Coupang Play product organization. From contributing to product development on the Android Platform to understanding our customer experience, this role is central for the development of our Android app.

**What You Will Do**
- Improve the development of Coupang Play, to support customers using our Android App
- Build scalable, testable architecture design and improvement based on MVVM
- Drive best practice software development principles, that are common reusable modules and frameworks
- Improve security and performance of the Android App

**Basic Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree and 9+ years of coding experience with Android, proficiency in Java or Kotlin
- Deep understanding of UI development of Android
- Ability to conduct complex A/B testing, able to do experiment analysis
- Launched 2 major product features in the last year

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Experience with MPEG-DASH, AV Player, Widevine DRM, offline playback, Chromecast SDK
- Experience of working within a start-up environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to speak and write in English and/or Korean fluently
