ABB’s Engineering Center in India designs and ships Power Management Systems (PMS) to various yards (industrial testing and integration sites). Once delivered, these systems must be tested, validated, and troubleshooted onsite before commissioning. The selected engineer will play a key role in this process, ensuring the systems meet ABB’s standards and project requirements.

**Role & Responsibilities**
- Perform Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) / Yard Testing of Power Management Systems (PMS).
- Carry out diagnostics and troubleshooting of PMS and industrial communication networks.
- Focus mainly on the automation side, while maintaining solid understanding of the electrical side (LV/HV switchgear, power distribution).
- Work with industrial communication protocols (IEC 61850 MMS/GOOSE, Modbus, Profibus, Profinet, RSTP, HSR, PRP, MRP).
- Use diagnostic tools such as Wireshark, IEDScout, ITT.
- Operate independently (70-80% of the time) while delivering high-quality results and documentation.

**Requirements**:
**Must-Have Skills**
- Minimum 5-7 years of experiencein PMS, automation, or power-related projects.
- Strong expertise in **IEC 61850 (MMS, GOOSE - multiple editions preferred)**.
- Proven experience in **testing & troubleshooting** PMS and industrial communication networks.
- Hands-on with diagnostic tools (**Wireshark, IEDScout, ITT**).
- Ability to work autonomously in complex testing environments

**Profile**
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technology with a major in Electrical or Electronics.
- Previous exposure to Power, Oil & Gas, or Energy projects.
- Combination of automation expertise with a solid understanding of electrical systems.
- Independent, problem-solving mindset, adaptable to diverse environments.

**Nice-to-Have Skills**
- Familiarity with ABB 800xA PMS library, Control Builder, Workplace.
- Understanding of cybersecurity concepts in industrial automation.
- Experience integrating third-party systems with PMS.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $4,000.00 - $5,000.00 per month
