Regional Head of Group Procurement

- Develop and implement a robust procurement strategy to be aligned with the organization’s overall objectives and identify global best practices in procurement that are applicable to the organization.
- Develop the Procurement Excellence function and cultivate a group wide culture of adherence to procurement policies and processes to promote transparency, fairness and compliance with applicable laws and regulation across the region.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to foster trust by understanding business needs and to strengthen strategies for regional categories
- Align objectives between regional procurement and country operations, balancing and managing expectations to ensure organizational effectiveness
- Lead and manage the team (both group and local procurement), providing proper guidance, coaching, and performance feedback and ensuring all country teams understand and adhere to guidelines from regional procurement

**Responsibilities**:

- Engage with key stakeholders such as function heads and executives members to identify business needs and align procurement activities to drive value for the business - efficiency, quality, savings
- Analyzing market trends and identifying cost-saving opportunities to develop robust procurement strategies and sustainable plans for the organization
- Propose process improvement plans to senior management and to take a leadership role in implementation
- Champion continuous improvement in all procurement-related areas - from strategizing to crafting policies, refining processes, drafting templates and exploring digital solutions so as to streamline procurement processes to increase efficiency and reduce cost
- Develop and manage procurement budget: implement cost-saving initiatives such as volume discount, supplier consolidation. Timely reporting to management on savings achieved as well as ensuring compliance and constant update on challenges, roadblockers
- Act as the touchpoint in key interactions and collaborations in all matters related to Procurement
- Lead sourcing and contracting process for relationships of strategic importance to the company
- Partner engagement owner throughout the procurement process - source and evaluate supplier contracts, negotiate sourcing schemes, monitor and review contracts, manage exit.
- Promoting diversity and inclusion in supplier selection to maintain a fair yet competitive bidding process
- Oversee the creation and subsequent implementation/ execution of SOPs
- Create strong governance and controls processes governance on group procurement function while complying with relevant law, regulation and ethical standards
- Develop and share good procurement practices with local teams to work towards implementing best practices and enhance the local team’s skills and knowledge
- Engage in direct negotiations with major suppliers to achieve competitive rates and services across various strategic areas and to balance price against other priorities such as quality and reliability (Annual Contract value up to 10+ mil USD/year for Automation Projects)
- Drive procurement projects and sourcing strategies by working closely with requesting entities to get the operational, service requirements and product specifications, and to plan out project deadlines
- Design and implement asset management process
- With the team, to identify suppliers based on their ability to meet organization quality cost and delivery requirements
- Able to give guidance to the team on appropriate SLA with suppliers to optimize value and mitigate risk for the organization.

**Requirements**:

- ** Possess 10+ years of procurement experience with a proven track record in a leadership position, ideally in a pan-SE Asia / regional role**:

- Proven ability in Sourcing & Procurement, Supplier Management, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing Operations, Business Development or other related functional background
- Proven ability to develop and implement Procurement strategy and plans across Business Units.
- Familiar and comfortable with using ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite / SAP)
- Preferred Bachelor’s degree
