The Collins Innovation Hub is seeking a test and validation engineer for the development and deployment of projects under the Automation and Robotics group. He/She will ensure that the system under review performs according to necessary specifications, and confirm operations are according to necessary regulations and quality by establishing validation standards and developing testing protocols.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

Successful applicants will work with the Collins Aerospace IET team to test, validate, and deploy robotic and automation technologies for use in Manufacturing and MRO operations.
- Working with an interdisciplinary team and with stakeholders, tests the over-all system to validate the design and ensure robustness by preparing equipment for testing, documents test results, and maintains records for data storage and analysis.
- Ensures test and tested systems perform in accordance with specification and reports out on any shortfalls or discrepancies.
- Coordinates with the PM team and Senior Field Service Engineer as required during the assembly, instrumentation, and test of the project to maintain configuration control over the test article and ensure that the data acquired is meaningful.
- Performs risk analysis of the test setup/test plan and identifies risk mitigation strategies during project deployment such as run limit definition and inspection control measures.

**REQUIREMENT**
- Bachelor’s Degree or Polytechnic Diploma in Mechanical, Electronics or Electrical engineering.
- Minimum 2 years of working experience in a test and validation role will be favorable
- Familiar with lean manufacturing, industry 4.0, and Smart Factory concepts
- Familiarity with Design Thinking methodology will be a plus.
