As a Technology intern at Caladan, you will gain first-hand experience working closely with top engineers, quants and traders as part of small teams doing real work.
Close to 40% of our Engineering team are former interns and have gone on to a wide variety of roles, some are now even acting as mentors for the next group of interns
In 2025 we are looking for interns to embed into various teams:
**Algo Development**
- Optimising existing trading strategies and developing new algo logic
- Analysing trade data and supporting primary research
**Software Development**
- Building connectivity to new ventures, exploring new blockchains and protocols
- Developing and maintaining services and automations that support the firms core trading capabilities
**RFQ Platform Engineering**
- Design, build, and maintain scalable trading platform infrastructure
- Measure and improve platform performance and operational efficiency
**Dates**
Our experience is that internships prove most valuable when interns have context and are comfortable within the environment so we prioritise those that are able to commit to longer internships from Jan to Aug 2025.
**Internship Outcomes**:
- Gain insights into the fintech and high frequency trading industries
- Enhance coding skills; get exposed to new tools and programming languages
- Experience in an agile startup environment
- Improve communication (both oral and written) skills and interpersonal effectiveness
- One-on-one mentorship from our software engineers
