**You will join our Transport **department**

As our new Highway Engineer, you will be a technical leader for roadway design. Responsibilities include developing horizontal and longitudinal alignments for new roadways and to support Temporary Traffic Management (TTM) design, and developing traffic layout plans (for vehicles and cyclists) in accordance with Singapore SDRE. You will deliver projects ranging in complexity, from simple alignments to multidisciplinary projects where you will need to coordinate with other business units regarding the roadway design. In these multidisciplinary projects you will be required to coordinate with the other disciplines and redesign the roadways around project-critical site constraints that determine the roadway alignments. As part of your designs you will on occasion be required to incorporate drainage details, supported by drainage calculations. You will also on occasion be requested to conduct simple drainage assessments and designs to support the roadway development. You will develop longitudinal alignments using 3D software such as MX Roads and Civil3D for submission to the relevant authorities. You will work with and lead a team of drafters and engineers, both locally and abroad, to develop the designs and deliverables. You will lead designs, including being primary contact for clients, to develop the technical aspects of the designs.

Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:

- Independently develop horizontal alignments for new roads and TTM designs
- Independently develop vertical alignments for new roads and TTM designs
- Liaise with clients to develop and deliver technical designs
- Work with drafters and engineers, both locally and abroad, to deliver projects
- Project manage design projects and projects with both transport planning and design elements
- Liaise with other disciplines, such as water, to deliver comprehensive designs

- Degree in civil engineering
- Experience developing the designs required
- Exposure to transport planning process and how it relates to roadway design and traffic layouts
- Experience with 3D software such as Civil 3D, OpenRoads, and/or MX Roads
- Experience with drainage design/calculations preferred
- Exposure to SIDRA and/or VISSIM a plus
- Proficient in Microstation and AutoCAD
- Understanding of GIS is a plus
