**Recruitment for Part-Time ONE Dance Artiste
**Singapore Chinese Dance Theatre (SCDT) is a local professional Chinese dance company, supported by

National Arts Council (NAC) since 2013. The Outreach and Education (ONE) division focuses on and is

committed to promoting Chinese dance to the wider community.

SCDT is currently looking to recruit part-time ONE Dance Artiste who can conduct either of the following

classes:
1) Foundation dance

2) Chinese Ethnic Folk Dance Graded Examination Syllabus

3) Chinese Classical Dance Technique (Male / Female)

4) Chinese Classical Dance for Adults

5) Chinese Dance Repertoire for Adults

**Qualification**:
1. Hold a professional dance diploma/degree under a recognised arts tertiary institution;
2. At least one (1) year of teaching experience in Chinese dance;
3. Conduct teaching in Mandarin and English when necessary;
5. Good character, including career professionalism and a strong sense of responsibility;
6. Good communication skills and eloquence in language.

**Duties**:
1. Plan and execute Outreach and Education programmes;
2. Design lesson plan, prepare and perform teaching duties according to Company requirements;
3. Choreograph dance items and prepare students for performances and competitions;
4. Attend regular meetings and training to improve teaching skills and maintain technical proficiency;
5. Give accurate feedback of students’ progress to schools and parents;
6. Be on standby to stand in for assigned staff if they are unable to perform their duty; and
- 7. _Perform other Outreach and Education related duties, such as performing and publicity._ _
- For full-time staff, working hours may exceed 44 hours/week during peak periods, and/or you may be _
- required to work on Sundays and Public Holidays due to company events/operational needs.**Benefits**:
1. Monthly salary between S$2,400 - S$2,800 (based on qualification and experience)

2. A 24-month contract includes a year-end bonus, paid leave, medical and dental allowances, hospital and

surgical insurance, etc.
