**The Role**:
The **SVP Origination, EA&O **will be primarily responsible for aircraft origination and marketing in the East Asia & Oceania region. This key role will report directly into the MD of EA&O and will manage and develop current and new business relationships across the region to succeed in our business’ portfolio and growth objectives.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Direct management of key current and target airline customer relationships in the EA&O region (accounts allocated based on experience and existing relationships);
- Identify, develop and execute direct order placements, remarketing of existing fleet and origination of sale & leaseback or financing opportunities;
- Leverage existing relationships with OEMs, financing institutions, service providers and other industry participants to deliver creative and value add transaction solutions for Avolon;
- Initiate, nurture and upgrade airline relationships in EA&O through face-to-face airline coverage, customer events and ongoing business communication with airline counterparts. Cultivate multi-level relationships at airlines and facilitating ExCo relationship development. To achieve this the role requires extensive travel across the region;
- Lead and manage cross-functional deal teams to ensure Avolon’s return/risk hurdles and corporate objectives are met, and that transactions are appropriately structured;
- Obtain regular QMI (Quick Market Intel) and prepare timely meeting feedback to facilitate Avolon’s understanding of opportunities, pricing trends and market developments.
- Prepare, negotiate and execute Letters of Intent with airline customers.
- Coordinate and contribute to the production and submission of approval papers, risk memos and regional market overviews;
- Assist proactively, in the execution and/or novation of leases as required;
- Work closely with the Chief Commercial Officer, MD EA&O and Commercial team colleagues in shaping and implementing customer engagement plans and strategies that can facilitate the business in maximising transaction returns and minimising risk;
- Actively participate in project-based business initiatives within Avolon to enable and enhance the development of the company platform.
- Collaborate with the Capital Markets and Trading teams to optimise relationship management of key contacts based in the EA&O region.

**Essential Skills and Experience**:

- Experience in aircraft financing to include a demonstrable deal track record including Sale & Leaseback, Placement, Remarketing and Restructuring.
- Significant depth and breadth of industry relationships to include senior executive contacts at airlines, OEMs and Lessors, and an ability to deepen business relationships across diverse cultures. In region experience a distinct advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex transactions in high pressure situations, including early identification and resolution of key transactional issues.
- Comprehensive understanding of technical issues on Airbus and Boeing aircraft, ideally with significant experience of transitioning aircraft.
- Proven depth of commercial ability and understanding of pricing, technical, credit, legal and other issues impacting lease decision-making in the context of delivering on the business plan.
- Significant experience in leading and managing deal/project teams.
- Track record in leading/participating in corporate development initiatives.
