**Manufacturing Director (Singapore)**
**Summary**:
In this role, you will be responsible for the a Singapore petrochemical manufacturing plant from plant.. You will also provide day-to-day leadership and management of the manufacturing plant to ensure compliance with company objectives, quality systems, and customer expectations.
**Key responsibilities**:
- Manufacturing leader for the site and be responsible for overseeing the manufacturing process and ensuring that production runs safely and on time.
- Implement world-class manufacturing and engineering practices to achieve plant specific performance targets.
- Establish and achieve annual safety performance targets while ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements (governmental, environmental, etc.).
- Manage the site budget, fixed and variable costs as well as achieve cost targets while continuously seeking to improve operating efficiency and reduce costs.
- Develop a continuous improvement culture in the team, improve quality levels, implement plans to improve manufacturing processes, predictive and preventive maintenance of machines and equipment.
- Coordinate with other manufacturing plant on certain operational activities and share best practices.
- Collaborate with leadership team (R&D, Commercial, Supply Chain and other Functions) to deliver Company’s strategic goals.
- Build a high-performance and action-oriented team.
- Provide manufacturing site leadership to ensure effective utilization of plant personnel and resources.
**Job Requirement**:
- At least 20 years of progressive manufacturing experience in the chemical or petrochemical process manufacturing industry, with the last 10 years in senior leadership roles within world
- class organizations.
- A proven diverse track record through various operational-related roles such as engineering, manufacturing, quality, procurement or broader is ideal.
- Demonstrated leadership skills in a global team environment and in managing cross-functional direct and indirect teams.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other manufacturing plant and departments like Commercial, R&D and support Functions to achieve company goals.
- Strong relationship builder with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills both within an organization and externally.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Flexible and able to multitask; can work within an ambiguous, fast-moving environment, while also driving toward clarity and solutions; demonstrated resourcefulness in setting priorities and guiding investment in people and systems.
- High energy, self-motivated, and hands-on management style working with all levels of the organization to drive performance and continuous improvement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Chemistry. Master’s degree or MBA is an advantage.
