The Decarbonisation Programme “Singapore Max-Planck Alliance for the Sustainable Conversion of Biomass” is looking for a Postdoctoral Researcher in Chemical Engineering to optimize biomass extraction and for upscaling and improving flow processes.

Key Responsibilities:
- Upscaling of flow processes- Investigation of mass transfer phenomena- Acquisition of data on critical process parameters- Optimization of biomass extraction- Maintenance of lab or equipment or supplies that include procurement and liaison with suppliers- Assist or produce high quality reports and documents that consolidate research findings- Contribute to the mentoring and guidance of junior researchers and students, fostering an environment of learning and innovation within the project team.

Job Requirements:
- Doctoral degree in Chemical Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field- Experience in flow chemistry- Experience in translation of batch to continuous flow processes- Experience in scale-up of flow chemistry- Experience in oleochemistry- Knowledge and experience in rational solvent design and green chemistry metrics- Capable of conducting independent research while effectively collaborating in a multidisciplinary environment.
