About GLOBALFOUNDRIES:
Summary of Role:
Manage a team of Snr/Section Manager/Engineers/Associate Engineers/Technicians to develop and integrate leading edge technologies.

Essential Responsibilities include:

- Manage and guide a group of Snr/Section Managers/Engineers/Associate Engineers/Technicians to develop & integrate new/derivative processes and to ensure error free prototype execution
- Set goals for the group and develop organization structure to achieve within timelines
- Drive Quality KPI (Final Test/Sort Yield/Post Fab Line Yield/Cpk) improvements.
- Provide timely executive reports/updates to management on progress of all project/product status and critical KPI.
- Provide and Drive Training plan for Section Managers/Engineers/Associate Engineers/Technicians
- Assist in budget planning (Engineering wafers/Reliability tests/Design service support)
- Understand customers’ process requirement and perform feasibility study
- Understand and facilitate team to resolve all process integration issues (ET fails, low Yield, Line excursions).
- Interface with Customer Engineers/Field Engineers to address external customers’ technical issues/concerns and to develop action plans for resolution
- Review process transfer documents after process has been deemed ‘production worthy’
- Provide support and ensure adequate resources to comply with Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) requirements and participate in improving and maintaining the EHS management system
- Responsible for wafer quality to conform to product requirements and have the authority to stop shipment and stop production to correct quality problems

Other Responsibilities:

- Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs

Required Qualifications:

- PhD/Masters/Degree in Microelectronics/Electrical/Electronics/Chemical Engineering or Science in Physics/Material Science or related field
- At least 15 years’ relevant fab experience with management roles preferred
- Strong understanding of device physics and SPC

Preferred Qualifications:

- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong leadership qualities
- Good motivational and team building skills
- Able to lead a technical focus team for new product/process introduction and to resolve inline and ET related problems
