**Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine is seeking a Research Assistant in Professor Lim Kah Leong's laboratory.**

**Professor Lim is a renowned scientist in the areas of neuroscience and mental health, particularly in the field of Parkinson's Disease. He is also developing new research technologies in the area of stem cells and neurorestoration as well as in diagnostics and neurotechnology, where he collaborates extensively with chemists, materials scientists and engineers. His laboratory uses a broad range of disease models including Drosophila, rodents, human neurons and brain organoids generated from patient-derived induced pluripotent stem cells and non-human primates (marmosets).**

**Key Responsibilities**:
1. Support the routine maintenance as instructed by research team and ARF

2. Able to plan and follow through with long term experimental monitoring of non-human primates (marmosets)

3. Preparation, handling and cooking of Drosophila fly diet

4. Changing of diets for our Drosophila fly stocks

5. Assistance to researchers in fly husbandry

6. Preparation of common lab reagents

**Key Decisions**:

- Volume of video data acquisition and analysis
- Reports on project progress
- Number of marmosets trained
- Timely preparation of Drosophila diet and associated regents

**Key Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree required as minimum education
- Support the routine maintenance and experimental monitoring of non-human primates (marmosets)
- Preparation, handling and cooking of Drosophila fly diet
- Changing of diets for our Drosophila fly stocks
- Assistance to researchers in fly husbandry
- Preparation of lab reagents
- Training will be provided
- Prior experience and RCULAC certification will be advantageous.
