Mott MacDonald is a global engineering, management and development consultancy. We work on many significant low carbon and renewable projects locally, in-region and globally including interconnector, hydropower and battery energy storage projects. By joining our team, you will be part of some of the largest and innovative projects worldwide. You will be working with our energy team delivering prestigious projects for a wide variety of stakeholders including developers, investors, lenders, manufacturers and regulators. Our project services include technical advisory, owner’s engineering, feasibility studies, project and programme management, conceptual design, detailed engineering design and asset management.

The Opportunity
- Be involved in delivery of our exciting energy projects in Singapore and across the region, collaborating with our wider energy team in the region and globally
- Support the delivery of a range of energy projects such as solar PV, wind energy, hydropower and low carbon including on projects with co-located energy storage.
- Provide advice, opinions and solutions and perform advisory and engineering tasks, such as modelling and simulation and support clients through all phases of project development with technical expertise.
- Involved with both technical and commercial work such as proposals, and technical review with an analytical approach
- Contribute to drive our digital strategy within the Energy sector.

About You:

- Master’s Degree, in either Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
- 3+ years of experience -Specialisms such as energy storage, control systems, power systems, solar, wind, CCUS or hydrogen, is preferred
- Commercial acumen, project management and consultancy experience (desirable not essential).
- Team player, sharp analytical skills with a strong learning mindset and a flexible work approach.
- Excellent report writing and communication skills.
- Highly developed interpersonal, communication & presentation skills.
- Knowledge of one or more technical software packages and/or scripting languages is an advantage, e.g. Homer Pro / Homer Grid, DigSilent PowerFactory, PSS®E, MATLAB/Simulink, Python.
- Willingness to travel when needed for project site visit or client meetings
