We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a **Credit Specialist.**

**Principal Responsibilities**

Credit Advisory Specialist provides credit related advice and support to relationship managers by:

- Identifying, marketing, structuring, negotiating and presentation of new credit opportunities and/or
- Offering exceptional credit solutions for the complex and large credit needs of UHNWs
- To build and sustain a healthy credit pipeline
- Ensure the optimal delivery of our credit products and capabilities to all eligible clients (with particular focus on UHNW clients) in co-ordination with RMs and ICs
- Be the point of reference for a specific credit product(s) as required
- Trains and advises RMs on credit products and/or in the area of identifying credit opportunities and marketing credit products and solutions to the client base
- Risk assessment and credit structure recommendation
- Write credit approval memos
- Work together with credit risk to obtain credit approvals for transactions
- Work together with Legal team on loan documentation
- Stays abreast of legal and regulatory changes and industry trends
- Balance objectives of client and risk management
- Monitor transactions post-closing
- Minimise operational losses and control weaknesses
- Mandarin language skills a plus (but not required) in order to better serve our Mandarin speaking North Asian UHNW clients
Requirements
- Have proven sales skills, understands what drives new business, and how to interact with clients and prospective clients to develop high quality lending opportunities and relationships
- The following skills are required at the highest levels of excellence: credit analytics, interpersonal skills, portfolio management and risk management
- Completion of formal credit training strongly preferred
- High quality collaboration skills in a team-oriented environment
- Highly trained and expert in credit products
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage relationship manager and client expectations
- Excellent oral and written communication
- Excellent presentation skills
