Quality Engineer (Part-time)
**About the Role**:
Zero-Error Systems (ZES) is currently seeking a Quality Engineer to join our team and help us revolutionise the industry. The Quality Engineer will play a critical role in our product development and external manufacturing processes. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining quality assurance systems and processes to ensure our products meet and exceed customer expectations. This position requires a hands-on approach and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to identify and address quality issues.
- Position Title: Quality Engineer (Part-time)
- Reports to: Director of Supply Chain and Quality
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Quality Assurance and Control:
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols and control systems for semiconductor products.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess product quality and process efficiency.
- Conduct regular quality audits and inspections of production processes and products.
- Failure Analysis and Problem-Solving:
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives for any quality issues or non-conformances.
- Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and test engineering teams to resolve quality-related problems.
- Implement preventive measures to mitigate potential quality risks.
- Supplier Quality Management:
- Work closely with suppliers to ensure the quality of raw materials and components.
- Conduct supplier audits and assessments to maintain high standards of quality.
- Develop and maintain supplier quality agreements and performance metrics.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Prepare and maintain detailed quality documentation, including inspection reports, audit findings, and corrective action plans.
- Generate regular quality reports for management review and continuous improvement efforts.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
- Participate in cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in semiconductor quality engineering.
- Any other duties assigned
**Key Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in quality engineering within the semiconductor industry, preferably in a fabless environment.
- Strong knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes, materials, and testing methodologies.
- Proficiency in quality management systems (QMS) and standards such as ISO 9001 and TS16949.
- Experience with statistical process control (SPC), failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), and root cause analysis tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external suppliers.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Experience with advanced semiconductor packaging and testing technologies.
- Familiarity with reliability testing and qualification processes for semiconductor products.
- Knowledge of industry-specific standards such as JEDEC, IPC, and AEC-Q100.
- Part-time arrangement of 3 days a week
