**The role with us**

The **Security Consultant **will deliver technical and advisory security engagements, supporting Lead Security Consultants and working closely with the rest of the security team to provide an exceptional service to our customers and build relationships within our accounts.

As a **Security Consultan**t based in **Singapore**, you will deliver engagements enabling the Telstra Purple team to achieve the security revenue number, directly contributing to the Advise revenue number and indirectly contributing to the Assure revenue number. You will also assist presales specialists in advanced technical conversations on fully qualified opportunities and enable the Sales Team to meet defined targets.

**Key responsibilities**
**Your key accountabilities and responsibilities include but are not limited to**:

- Provide technical consultation on Cyber Security opportunities and client initiatives.
- Run workshops with customers to define business, operational and technical requirements.
- Run workshops with customers across a range of stakeholders to support them through their cyber security journey.
- Create technical designs (both high-level designs and low-level designs) aligned to customer requirements, implementation documents and solution roadmaps.
- Implement and manage security controls both technical and non-technical across multiple industries and organisations of varying size.
- Enable customer operational teams through knowledge transfer workshops and creation of associated documentation
- Work with customers to measure the effectiveness of security controls, recommending improvements where possible.
- Act as a Cyber Security SME both within the Telstra Security team as well as the international organisation across Asia.
- Mentor members of the security practise to support the development of those less experienced than yourself.
- Drive security conversations with existing and potential customers, establishing yourself as a trusted advisor and SME.
- Support the ongoing development of the Telstra cybersecurity methodology and ways of working.
- Work with Enterprise and Purple sales teams to ensure Telstra Cyber Security solutions are positioned and solutioned for our strategic and emerging clients across Asia
- Assist presales team in preparing technical documents in response to requests for information (RFI), requests for proposals (RFP) and solution proposals.
**About you**
**Essential**
- Proven experience in technical customer facing roles; working with security solutions, policies and practices is preferable.
- Solid understanding of cloud & endpoint security as well as cyber security
- Excellent time management, multi-tasking, prioritization skills and ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
- Excellent people and presentation skills.
- Up to date certifications in one or more relevant technologies
- Experience in design, implementation and management of security solutions to on premise/hybrid and cloud environments
- Experience in conducting gap analysis and creating associated roadmaps
- Experience in creating target operating models across people, process and technology
- Experience in implementing internationally recognised cybersecurity frameworks
- Presenting solutions to clients
- Building key relationships within client technical stakeholders
- Experience in development of LLD (Low Level Design) of security solutions
- Ability to translate security business challenges into core solution requirements.
- Good communication skills, high level of technical expertise and extremely passionate about cyber security
- Willingness to accommodate worldwide travel where required, all expenses will be covered by Telstra
**Desirable**
- Vendor agnostic certifications e.g. CISSP, CISM, Comptia Security +, ISC2 SSCP, SANS GSEC
- Experience delivering consulting services across multiple industries
