**What we are looking for**:
We are looking for an enthusiastic Assistant/Sommelier with a pleasant personality and disposition who is responsible for delivering friendly and efficient wine service that meets guest dining experience expectations.
He / She shall provide professional advice to our members and their guest on the best choice of wine to pair with their meal. As a wine specialist, you will be involved with all the different aspects of wine service within 33Club.
**Responsibilities**:
- Provide guidance on wine-handling with various techniques of presenting, opening, decanting and serving.
- Provide guidance in the maintenance of drinkware and beverage equipment needed for beverage preparation.
- Provide guidance Guide staff on the articulation of different categories of wines.
- Attend and manage the members’ complaints, requests and inquiries regarding the beverage and services.
- Coach F&B Service Crews in recommending wine and food pairings to members and their guests.
- Interact with members and their guests to assess their satisfaction levels for members and guests experience improvement.
- Adherence of members service standards set by the club.
- Analyse members' and their guests' feedback to ascertain our service delivery gaps.
- Monitor the execution of initiatives under our club loyalty strategies.
- Perform audit on staff adherence to requirements pertaining to handling and consumption of alcoholic beverages.
- Perform audit on staff adherence with the food and beverage hygiene standards.
- Perform audit on staff adherence on food waste management Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Conduct daily reconciliation of sales and implement strategies to achieve sales targets.
- Monitor inventory level to ensure consistent supplies.
- Suggest areas for continuous improvement and implement continuous improvement activities within the club.
- Guide staff in the usage of emerging technology and tools to improve work productivity.
- Other related duties as assigned by the General Manager.
**Requirements**:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a restaurant or wine-focused position.
- Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- **Willingness to work during weekends and holidays.**:
- **An advanced education or certification in wine studies that is service minded (CMS or WSET) is a MUST.**:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and carry boxes.
- **Good knowledge of wines, wine characteristics and food and wine pairings.**:
- Good knowledge in managing beverage inventory and purchasing.
- Good sales skills to promote different wines.
- **Experience in running a diverse wine portfolio, specifically in natural wines, will be a bonus.**:
- Team player and independent.
- Humble and willing to learn and share to grow together.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent, Contract, Temporary, Fresh graduate
Contract length: 12 months
**Salary**: $2,000.00 - $5,000.00 per month
