**Position Description: Occupational Therapist (Relocate to Australia)**

**Position Purpose**
- Form strong relationships with clients and case managers to grow the occupational therapy division.
- To provide efficient, effective, consistent, and timely assessment of these clients.
- To expand/develop programs in line with client needs.
- To provide a quality, responsive occupational therapy service.
- Follow client-centred and evidence-based practice, whilst upholding a high level of professionalism and adhering to Inspiring Possibilities standards.
- To advocate and support Inspiring Possibilities clients with reference to capacity building.

**Qualifications & Requirements**
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy or something relevant.
- Current registration or obtaining registration as an Occupational Therapist with the

Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- At least 2 years’ experience as a full-time occupational therapist.

**Key Selection Criteria**
- Experience and a keen interest working in the aged care and disability sectors.
- Demonstrated skills in effective communication including written and verbal as well as computer skills.
- Self-motivated and able to work effectively in a team environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills in comprehensive aged care and disability assessments and care management of these clients with complex needs including skills in activities of daily.
- living assessment, cognitive and sensory assessment, social/community support needs and client environmental safety.
- Experience working within the disability sector and the ability to provide recommendations and reports with regards to assistive technology, home and car modifications.

**Key Accountabilities**
- The Occupational Therapist is responsible for the provision of an effective and timely service within this clinical caseload.
- Duties include but are not limited to: - o Provision of clinical services in the community as directed by the Inspiring

Possibilities key personnel. o Plan and co-ordinate care for clients with a focus on improving quality of life, independence, and capacity building. o Provide education for client’s carers and families on various issues pertaining to the elderly and disabled to facilitate interventions when necessary. o Prepare professional reports for clients as required. o Documentation of all aspects of care including education, planning and delivery of client education as required. o Attend case conferences, allocation and client care meetings as required. o Develop and review education resources and other educational material suitable for clients. o Performs duties as listed in the job description and as directed Inspiring Possibilities key personnel. o Follows correct procedures if involved in work-related incidents or accidents. o Provide up to date information on services for clients and families. o Manages time effectively, fulfilling requirements for hours of work. o Ability to prioritise case and workload and complete tasks and reports within timeframes allocated by the business.

- Client records and occupational therapy specific records demonstrate appropriate levels of assessment, treatment planning and consultation with family and relevant others.
- Demonstrates competence in assessing and delivering high quality occupational therapy using evidenced based practice.
- Client care is planned in conjunction with the treating multidisciplinary team and clearly documented.
- Provides clients with appropriate equipment where required.
- Recognises own level of competence and seeks advice/assistance when necessary.
- Demonstrates appropriate level of prioritisation of caseload.
- Continually evaluates the effectiveness of care, and revises/modifies treatment accordingly.

**Salary**: $2,000,000.00 - $5,000,000.00 per month
