**Your Team**

Platform Operations Team holds the fort to the Infrastructure and the Platform services to support Avaloq’s internal and external clients on a day-to-day basis. Being part of a dynamic team, the SMEs are involved in the inception, building and operating of the Infrastructure and Platform services, collaborating closely with Applications, Security Operations and Engineering teams.

**Your Mission**
- Good understanding of Datacenter, **SAN**, NAS, Disk Arrays, De-duplication, **Backup Technologies**, Fabric, HBA, MPIO, Encryption, OS **and Storage Virtualization** concepts.
- Develop and maintain policies and procedures for **disaster recovery** and archiving to ensure effective protection and integrity of server based data and configuration, and devices configurations.
- Develop and maintain policies and procedures for **backups and restores**, including **monitoring** the performance, success, and/or failure of these tasks.
- Develop and maintains policies and procedures for storage and backup vs change management, availability management and incident/problem management.
- Develop and maintains **tape management** policies and procedures pertaining to **offsite tape storage** and tape movement from offsite location.
- Ensure adherence to service level agreements regarding **data recoverability**. Anticipates, identifies, and oversees mitigation and response to data recoverability problems and retrieval issues.
- Ensure data backup and retention measures comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Monitoring and troubleshooting backup failures through viewing the variety of reports, remediating job failures or delays with appropriate actions
- Perform the **capacity planning** required to maintain the backup and storage infrastructure.

Qualifications
**What you need**
- Ideally in vendor / system integrator / end-user / data centre background. No banking/financial industry experience required
- Experience in implementing and operating backup and storage in data centre environment
- Good knowledge of shell script programming
- Experience in the following technologies:

- HP 3PAR SAN Storage
- Veritas NetBackup
- IBM Tivoli Storage Manager
- Hitachi Virtual Storage Platform
- IBM Flashsystem / Storwize
