As Client Service Associates (CSAs), you are a member of the International Client Service and Marketing Support team and contributes to our mission of not only deliver the best portfolio performance, but also the best service to our clients while maintaining the highest standards of ethics.

We are seeking a bright, articulate, and detail-oriented associate to join us in delivering first class client service. The position works closely with business development and client relationship management staff, Client Service Executives (CSEs), to market and service clients based in Asia (Ex-Japan) with a strong focus in the Greater China market and select Southeast Asian countries. In support of the overall relationship management effort, a CSA will answer ad hoc client inquiries, prepare client presentations, assist with new account set-ups/transitions, prepare Requests-for-Proposals, research information on prospective clients, support general business development efforts and be an overall centralized point of contact for a specific book of clients. It is expected that CSAs will work closely with other relationship team members, the Investment Management Team, as well as many other functional areas of the firm to effectively communicate client expectations.

What you will do:

- Act as a central point of contact for a specified book of clients and resolve inquiries from our clients’ investment, management, compliance, audit, legal and operations teams.
- Coordinate account opening, maintenance and closing processes, which may involve working with both internal departments and external parties (i.e., client, custodian, brokers, lawyers, etc).
- Prepare and/or review meeting presentation books. This may involve working with CSEs and Portfolio Managers to download and analyze data before putting them into graphical presentations for client meetings. This will require someone who is familiar with fixed income concepts and a working knowledge of Bloomberg, Excel and Powerpoint.
- Prepare briefing memos (“background packages”) for client and business development meetings.
- Coordinate key client communications and attend select client meetings.
- Prepare and/or review requests-for-proposal submissions.
- Review all standard and/or customized client reports and ensure they are sent according to the daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting deadlines.
- Maintain client contacts, sales opportunities and relationship notes in the client relationship database.
- Work on ad-hoc client projects.

What you will bring:

- Good undergraduate degree; Business, Finance or Economics majors preferred
- Progression towards CFA or MBA would be an advantage
- Native or fluent level of written and spoken Mandarin is essential, in addition to good English skills
- Other language ability is a plus
- Problem-solving skills and sound business judgment
- Ability to complete simultaneous tasks while under significant time pressure
- Impeccable attention to detail and time management
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the asset management or related industry
- Fixed income knowledge and understanding of basic investment concepts a plus
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 2007, particularly Excel and Powerpoint
- Proficiency with Bloomberg
