About the Team
The Governance and Experience team is a global team responsible for ensuring that our platform provides a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable experience for our Merchants, Creators and our community. We value user satisfaction and work on policies, rules and systems to ensure quality. Our mission is to provide world-class service and experience for customers, sellers and creators. In this role, you will have the opportunity to support our continued growth and expansion.
**Responsibilities**:
- Responsible for the end to end design, launch, maintenance and enhancement of various mechanisms and prevalence metrics to assess governance effectiveness in global e-commerce.
- Collaborate closely with Governance, Product, Engineering, and Data teams to initiate and implement plans for mechanism launches and process improvements.
- Serve as a measurement partner for governance teams globally by monitoring key metrics and conducting root cause analysis to support governance teams in mitigating platform risks.
- Identify gaps in governance systems and provide thought leadership in enhancing reliability, confidence and efficiency of existing mechanisms.
**Qualifications**:
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or above, with three years of work experience in policy / policy operations, trust and safety and/or measurement related functions.
- Experience working in a global team or project managing programs with cross-functional stakeholders across regions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain complex concepts cross-functionally, particularly in the area of consensus-building and influencing decision-making.
- Rigorous logical reasoning and structure; is a self starter and ability to deliver outcomes with quality.
- Strong prioritisation abilities coupled with adept multitasking and a proactive bias for action.
- Understanding of moderation related metrics and levers to enhance quality/ accuracy.
- Demonstrated experience with Data Analytical skills, familiar with SQL and fundamental understanding of ML models.
Preferred Qualifications
- Independent end-to-end experience in launching prevalence metrics / projects is preferred.
