**Job Description**:

- The Finance Business Partner uses commercial acumen, analytical skill and storytelling to provide decision support and challenge that ensures the business takes decisions that maximise value.

**Business advisory**:

- Proactively engage with the front / mid-office teams to frame business questions (which can be a query from the business or self-started)
- Originate data from a variety of internal and external sources and in a variety of fields, including operational, financial and accounting.
- Use Business Intelligence tools to prepare and analyse data and identify insights on key performance drivers of performance to support decision making
- Report the insights and recommend strategic and tactical action, suggesting opportunities for improvement and value delivery.

**Financial planning**:

- Develop and implement models to forecast financial results and position, enabling working capital and cash decisions and supporting regular outlook and budget processes.
- Embed a standardized financial forecasting process across Marketing - prepare and process data/information required for actual, forecast, budget, interim and year end reporting to support the reporting of results for the commodity and the Production BU.
- Evolve and develop processes to improve forecast accuracy and support decision making

**Performance management**:

- Design and prepare regular and ad hoc performance reports, including analysis and supporting information to meet internal requirements and deadlines for Marketing, related business units and Group.
- Drive a collaborative process that provides visibility across the value chain performance and enables improvement in performance management.
- Conduct analysis and provide insight into performance trends and results to identify value/improvement opportunities.
- Work with Finance Operations to coordinate performance data from all relevant sources and develop on-demand information for users. Educate users on how to better use information to gain their own insights through ‘citizen data science’.
- Work closely with Group Finance and Investor Relations to improve internal and external understanding of performance and the Marketing Narrative.

**Project management and support**:

- Lead or support cross-disciplinary teams in ideating, designing and implementing ad hoc projects, including establishing new corporate or financing structures, executing M&A deals or securing approval for new lines of business.
- Ensures changes are embedded into business as usual process

**Learning and development**:

- Drive a culture of continuous improvement, big data thinking and collaborative ‘smart team’ working
- Stay up-to-date with technology and leverage latest software tools in analysis and reporting.
- Qualifications
- Excellent academic credentials in Business and Finance
- Experience in business partnering or business consulting
- Constructively engage stakeholders to a common cause through developing mutually beneficial solutions and proposals. Has ability to understand business needs and value drivers, and recommend appropriate commercial solutions
- Strong credible communication and presentation skills
