**Purpose**
- Contributes to the overall success of Operations Control, GWO in APAC ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are following regulations, internal policies, and procedures.

**Accountabilities**
- Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
- Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
- Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.
- Champion a high-performance environment through self-identification of personal development goals and motivates their team by fostering an inclusive work environment and clear communication. Challenge existing processes to improve efficiency and streamline process where necessary without comprising controls.
- Limit Reporting - As pillar lead for limit reporting, use established standards and procedures to perform reporting of limits for the organization to respective stakeholders. Have a clear understanding of every single clause in the Limit Control Sheet (LCS) and ensure all limits are reported in accordance with the respective LCS. Identify any anomalies of the process and perform root cause analysis with the aim of resolving problem encountered.
- Audit Confirmations - Effectively manage incoming audit confirmation requests using established procedure and ensure timely response to clients/external auditors. Act as point of contact for clients/external auditors and collaborate other business units and stakeholders to resolve questions in response to audit confirmation request. Track volume of audit confirmation for purpose of KPI.
- Regulatory Reporting/Reconciliation - Submission of regulatory reports in APAC to the respective platforms using established workflow. Work closely with Compliance and Technology in the region to establish requirements for purpose of report submission. Perform validation of trades automatically reported to APAC regulators to ensure in compliance local requirements. Perform monthly fee billing review and communication of payment to the expense team.
- Position and Cash reconciliation - Performs GL reconciliations and attestation of internal systems and external balance /positions and collaborate with internal teams to investigate discrepancies for prompt issue resolution.
- Risk and Control - Generate weekly cash breaks KRIs and take ownership of procedure and end user computing (EUC) refresh and skills matrix review.

**Education / Experience / Other Information**
- The incumbent requires a thorough working knowledge of the Bank’s accounting policies and procedures pertaining to securities derivatives and securities products, interpretation of LCS’s terms and limit monitoring skills are necessary. The incumbent must be able to work independently with good time management and priority setting skill. In addition, a good interpersonal skill is essential in completing the tasks associated with coordinating with all regional branches, counterparties, and personnel at all levels within the Bank.
- The incumbent receives general guidance from the Manager and will work within the framework of established Bank’s procedures in accordance with policies and standards.
- In the daily routine, the incumbent is expected to work independently within the framework.
