- On-site- Regional Payments Counsel responsible for the structuring, development and implementation of payments initiatives and projects.
**Responsibilities**:
Working closely with the Regional and Country teams from various functions to structure, develop and implement payments initiatives and projects in various jurisdictions (namely Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam and the Philippines);
Provide practical advice to internal stakeholders on regulatory requirements, policies, and provide creative solutions to problems;
Support and collaborate with the Financial Compliance and AML teams to develop and implement policies and processes to comply with the relevant financial regulations and audits;
Manage and negotiate partnership and cooperation agreements with suppliers and service providers;
Job Requirements:
At least 8 years of experience in financial service regulatory or Fintech legal sector (a mix of law firm and in-house experience is strongly preferred);
Strong experience in payments related licensing and regulatory matters in Southeast Asia;
Ability to build and manage a team across multiple jurisdictions;
Strong project management capability;
An analytical mind and nimble troubleshooting skills;
Ability and eagerness to work independently, and to learn quickly and adapt to take on different roles within a growing team;
A passion for technology and payments;
English and Chinese language capabilities (spoken and written) are highly preferred (but not mandatory).
