**Strategy & Transformation**:
**Brief Overview**:
The Index Operations team manages the daily activities for calculation of 1500+ thematic and custom indices for the iEdge business. This involves data management of static referential databases and dynamic market data feeds, corporate actions, and exchange holidays across global markets.
**Learning Objectives**:
The selected intern will gain exposure to the operational framework of managing various financial datasets such as equities, futures, indices, bonds and FX; as well as specialized topics such as Active and Passive Investing, Thematic and Smart Beta strategies.
- Onboarding: Work with the team to plan, coordinate and onboard new indices to our cloud based system
- Development: Suggest and develop systematic solutions with the help of new technological tools, to enhance operational resiliency and scalability of daily tasks
- Support: Help resolve any queries or issues that might arise from clients
**Knowledge and Skills requirements**:
- Basic understanding of financial markets and products (must)
- Passionate, result oriented, and good team player (must)
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills (must)
- Able to work under mínimal supervision
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Good command of MS Excel (Formulas, VBA, Power Query) and Python
