The Role and the Team

Proofpoint’s Data Classification team in Singapore is looking for a passionate Senior Big Data Engineer. Combining your knowledge of Big Data, AI & ML, this position is focused
- designing and implementing new product features, scaling complex AI model and methods and creating the extraordinary solutions for automation with a team of like-minded individuals.
- Our engineers steer and influence the future success and growth of our company. We are nimble, dynamic, and move fast. We are looking for team-players that take a creative, analytical approach to solve complex technical challenges.

Job Requirements

Your day-to-day- Proactively develop data processing pipelines-
- Implement features following an Agile methodology-
- Measure and benchmark approaches to increase the overall throughput-
- Join technical design workshops and challenge the current stack-
- Efficiently communicate and document your work-
- Involved in technical designsWhat you bring to the team- Experience in development (Scala, Python, Java)-
- Experience in NoSQL databases (HBase, Cassandra, MongoDB)-
- Experience in SQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, OmnisciDB)-
- Experience with distributed frameworks (Spark, MapReduce, Akka clusters)-
- Familiar with Linux based development and production environments-
