The Student Care Teacher provides care and support to students in an inclusive and caring environment. He/She offers guidance to students with their homework, is responsible for their safety and well-being at all times, and uses positive behavior techniques to reinforce good behaviours.

The Student Care Teacher will adopt the Positive Behaviour Intervention System (PBIS) for overall student and classroom management.

To support the holistic development of the students at the centre, He/She will deliver Canossian Care Curriculum lessons to the students. He/She is a good role model for the students and actively imparts good habits and social skills to our students.

**Critical Work Functions and Key Tasks**

1. Classroom management and Scheduling of daily class activities
- Sets up the classroom as a tool used for teaching students by providing a safe, stimulating, positive and supportive learning environment
- Plans and implements daily schedule of activities
- Keeps detailed track of student movement across the day

2. Setting routines and expectations
- Ensures that centre-wide routines, rules and expectations are displayed in a manner that is easy to see and all can read or understand
- Implements centre-wide routines, rules and expectations

3. Managing student behaviours
- Adopts Canossian Attributes to reinforce positive behaviours
- Implements the student discipline consequences workflow

4. Collaboration with various stakeholders
- Interacts with the various sectors, colleagues, management, parents to reinforce support for student development in school and at home.
- Provides feedback on students’ progress to mgt

5. Administrative
- Does attendance taking, health and safety checks, closing duties
- Prepares classroom resources
- Takes data and enters information on student behaviours and needs

**Education, Skills, and Competencies**

Education and Experience
- Minimum requirement - Diploma
- Preferably with teaching qualification or at least 2 years of relevant student care teaching experience in Singapore

Technical Skills and Competencies
- MS office skills
- Good interpersonal and communication skills

Generic Skills and Competencies
- Passion to work with children
- Has good time management skills, organized and structured
- Has initiative, and is adaptable
- Team player

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $2,100.00 - $2,800.00 per month
