**The Role**:
As the Country Manager for Singapore, you will have the unique opportunity to build from the ground up and scale the country’s business and change the way people think about Crypto. We are looking for someone who has that mix of incredible operational prowess to get great work done, the negotiation and collaboration skills needed to bring out the best from our partners, the innovation and creative thinking that's required to develop outside the box solutions, and the emotional intelligence required to lead a fast-paced business and inspire a team of people.
This role is ideal for someone who has experience in building a business, is excited about managing the operation of a whole market in 360 degrees and is obsessed not only about the big picture but also about improving and iterating on processes to obtain operational excellence and delivery quality to the customer experience. Country strategy, marketing, marketplace efficiency, quality, sales and account management, internal product development, P&L ownership, team development and coaching, and customer experience all sit under the Country Manager’s broad umbrella of responsibilities. Developing a deep understanding of your market and truly being its owner will be critical to your success. This is where creativity meets leadership and execution head on.
**As a Country Manager, you will**:
- Lead a lean team of smart and passionate people towards building Zipmex in Singapore
- Set the mission and strategy for Singapore and oversee the results-driven execution in your market
- Work cross-functionally within the organization - collaborate with the various teams internally to communicate product and process needs to deliver Zipmex in Singapore
- Develop and scale our sales and account management muscle, especially that of the Private Client Services team to service and grow high net worth and institutional clients
- Collaborate on creative local marketing strategies and user growth campaigns
- Work with other Country Heads and the Executive team to help scale our cities through developing and sharing best practices
- Run experiments: we're looking for people who are curious and passionate about solving problems As a start-up within a start-up, there will be many interesting challenges ahead. Experimenting and finding unique solutions is in our DNA
- Engage with local regulatory and political stakeholders within the fintech and crypto ecosystem
- Hold the executive directorship overlooking Zipmex Singapore
**Preferred qualifications**:
- 8+ years working with regulated financial services institutions
- Data-driven decision mentality and sound business judgement - you understand what drives value for each group in our marketplace and can make sensible commercial decisions to reflect this
- Effective project management with multiple stakeholders
- Interpersonal skills and the ability to make smart partnerships happen, from negotiation to execution
- Experience building and leading a team
- Ability to adapt with humility and resilience
- Preferred experience with engagement of regulators and industry stakeholders
- A passion for crypto and growing the brand
- Fluency in English is required, with Chinese a good to have
