**About the job**

Sales Assistant supports the mission of the Red Shield Industries, a social enterprise, highly regarded by public for its excellent delivery of donation in kind service which is sensitive and responsive to the community welfare needs and meeting the funding needs of The Salvation Army.

It is expected that the Sales Assistant will be involved in sales work, merchandise display, operation of point of sales and assisting special sales events with attention to quality and customer service, environment and safety practices.

**We are looking for temporary workers on an hourly basis.**
**Key Responsibilities**
- Carry out duties with utmost integrity, reliability and keeping to time commitment.
- Attend to day to day sales.
- Carry out sales efficiently with cash register.
- Work closely with Retail manager / Supervisor on store layout, product display, merchandising and customer service.
- Attend to all matters requiring technical assistance.
- Arrange and re-arrange stock display constantly.
- Ensure store is presented in pristine condition at all times.
- Maximize sales to achieve or exceed sales target.
- Ensure that daily sales reports are submitted to RSI administration.
- Keep work areas safe and clean at all times.

**Job requirements**
- Attended secondary school / Basic vocational certificates (NITEC)/ WSQ
- Certificate in Retail is an advantage
- 1 to 2 years of experience in Retail industry (preferable)
- Able to handle point of sales/cashiering
- Able to attend to queries and complaints
- Well groom with a courteous disposition
- Able to work for at least 8 hours a day & over weekends

**Working Hours**

9.00 AM to 6.00 PM (Monday to Saturday)
