The data we generate provides our clients with the information they need to make critical, well informed, business decisions.

UTEC is looking for a skilled Surveyor to join our Offshore team in Singapore on a full-time, permanent basis.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all engineering work carried out on site is conducted in the best interests of UTEC and the Client and meets all project safety, contractual and quality requirements. You shall also ensure that all equipment received to the vessel is configured correctly and calibrations and certification is kept up to date.

Duties/Responsibilities
- Survey Equipment & System Integration - Mobilize and integrate surface and subsurface sensors onto vessels, ROVs, trenchers, and ploughs, ensuring seamless interfacing with online software packages
- Calibration & Data Accuracy - Assist in the calibration of survey systems, verify geodetic and datum shift parameters, and ensure data integrity using client-supplied test points
- Operational Support - Attend pre-shift meetings, liaise with client representatives, and maintain clear communication with vessel crews, ROV operators, and other disciplines to ensure smooth operations
- Survey Data Management - Monitor data collection, perform basic data processing to assess quality, and maintain accurate logs and reports in accordance with UTEC procedures
- Technical Troubleshooting - Perform regular system status checks, identify and resolve equipment issues, and escalate concerns to the Senior Surveyor or Party Chief as needed
Compliance & Safety - Adhere to UTEC’s Quality and HSE standards, ensure PPE requirements are met, and take proactive measures to prevent potential hazards, including exercising the authority to "Stop the Job" if necessary
- Documentation & Reporting - Maintain vessel wiring diagrams, produce field reports, and ensure all survey operations are accurately documented for compliance and operational efficiency
- Continuous Improvement - Contribute to process enhancements by providing feedback on UTEC forms and procedures, ensuring operational excellence

**Requirements**:

- More than 2 years of Offshore Survey experience handling either of these types of work Construction Support, Pipelay, IRM, Geophysical Survey, Wind Farm
- Education in Electronics/Electrical/Mechatronics degree are desired
- Technical understanding and knowledge of major survey equipment and software used in the offshore survey sector
- Excellent Written and Verbal communication skills
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Able to work in a team environment
- Able to work Online back-to-back with that Surveyor incase required
- Fully Covid Vaccinated (Jabs and Boosters)
