**The Role**

This is an exciting opportunity for someone to take responsibility for all of our communications, internal and external PR across the global business, with a goal to inform, educate and inspire our audiences. These communications are integral for efficiency but also bringing the Pomelo culture to life, ensuring we maximise engagement with the Pomelo brand both internally and externally. This role will be required to collaborate with key stakeholders to produce high quality content for internal and external consumption and brand consistency across all communication tools. You will report to the Director of Global Brand and Marketing - be a brand ambassador and enabler, driving a clear identity framework to shape and deliver key outcome stories to evidence Pomelo’s success globally.

**As Head of PR & Internal Communications, you will**
- Develop and implement the organisation's PR and media strategy, building our reputation and ensuring effective media coverage globally
- Establish a pro-active PR & communication strategy and plan in conjunction with the global brand and marketing strategy.
- Draft and oversee the creation of media releases directly or through PR agencies
- Work closely with Brand & content teams to align social media content with PR
- Develop and manage a 12-month rolling communications calendar of key PR activities, internal employee events and engagement programmes.
- Ensure organisational initiatives and projects are successfully communicated to employees and stakeholders
- Deliver content for presentations at organisational events
- Draft messages or scripts from senior executives for presentation to employees in written or spoken form
- Ensure all communications messages are consistent across all mediums and for different departments of the organisation
- Ensure internal communication messages are consistent with external communication messages
- Acting as a single point of contact for executive communications

**What we are looking for**:

- Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills as well as the journalistic ability to source stories from employees
- Creative ability to devise communication strategies
- Familiarity with information technology, especially digital and video means of communication, is essential.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills in order to work across departments and geographies
- Experience in managing PR/media in emerging markets is a bonus
- Experience of writing for a variety of different audiences is a must.
- Strong customer focus with desire to learn all aspects of the business
- High level of discipline, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment while still maintaining a high-level of accuracy
- Outstanding organisational, problem solving, and multi-tasking skills
- Team-player and positive attitude, eager to do more and help out, views challenging situations as opportunities
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work with mínimal supervision
- Degree in journalism, communications, public relations, marketing or similar
- 5+ years of working experience in similar roles
