Singapore NTU (Nanyang Technology University- Main Office-HR) Full time

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Work with and train/educate IDMxS researchers on projects involving advanced optical techniques and microscopy
- Train personnel in the use and maintaining home-built microscope systems and other devices (plasma cleaner, zeta-sizer, lasers etc.)
- Develop innovative experimental optical techniques and methods
- Publish research in scientific journals.
- Mentor junior researchers and students

**Job Requirements**:

- PhD in Optics, Microscopy, Engineering, or related disciplines and at least 5 years of relevant research experience
- Have a strong optics foundation: understand fundamental optical principles, which include geometrical optics, wave optics, microscopy and imaging, fluorescence, plasmonics, and quantum optics
- Prior experience in analysis of experimental data using statistical analysis and data visualization techniques
- Background in quantum optics
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively on interdisciplinary research projects
- Ability to balance multiple research projects, meet deadlines and effectively collaborate with partners of different backgrounds and levels of expertise
