JR31739 Intern - ADTS ATI PI

Description: As 3D NAND memory scales up in capacity by having more memory layers stacked vertically, it becomes increasingly challenging for the high aspect ratio cleaning processes to achieve good uniformity across different structures. This results in multiple structural defects which affects the yield and quality adversely. In this project, students will be exposed to the delicate processes that defines the memory structure in RG technology and gain 1st hand experience on process integration and development, structural characterization and process control methodology used in fabrication environment.

Scope: Perform post-cleaning structural characterization across the memory stack and wafer region, as well as their interaction with the substrate topography. Collaborate with process engineers to explore process optimization opportunity to mitigate defects and reduce process variability, where the students will be exposed to perform Design of Experiment methodology based on the characterization data collected. Students will also be able to learn how to use statistical tools and fab-specific software for operation/troubleshooting purpose

Deliverables: Characterization data on the post-cleaning structures and their interaction with the substrate properties. Develop Best Known Method to optimize and reduce process variability through DoE and data anal
